Barometric

Out of the blue (or I should I say, out of the dark), I just saw a flash of lightning. A rumble-roar of thunder followed. Hmm, not a fan of lightning and thunder.

Poem: Gun Shy

Gun Shy

thunder rattles a window
in its frame an air slap
of sound follows lightning
that milky constellation vertical
fire from earth to sky
the walls flex barometric
I play keep away
sit in a darkened
corner in the room
out of sight
of the outside
quiet
so they can’t find me
