That’s it. I’ve got spiders on the brain. Certainly, I see them more than I’d like. And God help me, I write poems – Roommates, Vendetta, Not a Threat but a PromiseOff the Rails, Spider Chronicles, Technicolor, and It’s Always Something   – about them more than I’d ever imagined.

Poem: Kundalini

Kundalini

They stand straight, angled
on the wall near the TV. Open
face dare, eyes without a blink.

They don’t skitter away. Instead
they swagger across surfaces,
all bow-legged and confident.
