Falling Star

I saw my first falling star. (I think.) Either that or I saw the aliens’ scout ship just before they take over Earth for their nefarious outer space plans.

Falling star

Your luck comes from the sky
a blaze of arcing white
against the velvet of heaven
but only if you catch its fall
with eyes ready for the gods
and their capricious ways
you know then to turn right
cast its luck for your own good
only those outside of favor
leaves a star to land
wherever it falls
