Moonrise

I saw the moon resplendent in the middle of late afternoon.

Waxing Gibbous

Her everything is on display.
Up there bold as anything,
as my mother would say.

Comfortable with her body
in the way of average men,
she parades its dips and valley.

Daylight loves her shadowy sass.
To show her best side, she turns
slow pirouettes. No need to ask.
